Yesterday during a conversation with tech guys, I understood that among many other advantages, flat design had the ability to load pages faster.
We can easily assume that the fast adoption of broadband access didn’t satisfy people but made them craving more and more speed and responsiveness when accessing services.
I like the story behind flat design. This is people driven innovation for several reasons:
- the lagging issue
- the compatibility between devices
- the ease of reading and finding information
It took a lot of years to get out skeuomorphism. Now we are because of people. Eyes wet.
